Kochi — Queen of the Arabian Sea
The sunlit shores of Kochi witnessed a convergence of tech enthusiasts at DevFest 2023. As I reflect on my experience as a speaker at this vibrant event, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to share my thoughts on a topic close to my heart — designing experiences.
From the moment I received the invitation to speak at DevFest Kochi, the excitement was palpable. The warmth of the organizing team, led by GDG and WTM Kochi, made the entire journey a seamless blend of professionalism and hospitality. Their meticulous planning and unwavering support allowed me to focus on delivering a talk that resonated with the diverse audience.

The day of the event dawned with an air of anticipation. Surrounded by fellow speakers, each a luminary in their respective fields, I found myself engaged in insightful and invigorating conversations. The speakers brought their unique perspectives, sparking discussions that lingered long after the event’s conclusion. Collaborative energy and a shared passion for technology made the backstage moments as enriching as the on-stage experience.
As I took the stage, the mosaic of eager faces rested my anxious self to a calm start. From discussing everyday experiences, bringing psychology of interaction and laws in UX, and narrowing the context to interface design and product life cycles, we embarked on a journey that transcended the technicalities and creativity of designing experiences.
In the aftermath of my talk, the connections forged during DevFest Kochi lingered. Conversations with attendees, each bringing their unique perspectives, reinforced the belief that the true essence of any fest lies in the people who contribute to its vibrancy. It continued in the digital world, through LinkedIn.
